The plot has progressed to After the fourth season and book of HBO’s True Blood and Charlaine Harris' The Southern Vampire Mysteries. With the death of Marnie Stonebrook the witch war had finally come to an end. However all sides involved suffered losses of some sort. A fragile peace has been made between all those in the supernatural community. The vampires are still trying to fix their public image after the incident at the festival of tolerance. The werewolves of Shreveport have been busy spreading pack influence across the state. Meanwhile the witches try to practice their craft in peace.

However like all good things the fragile peace in the south is slowly coming to an end. The use of vampire blood as a drug has skyrocketed throughout the south. Rumors of vampires attacking humans in Shreveport and Bon Temps have started to spread. The werewolves are dealing with the encroaching threat of the remnant of the Mississippi pack that is being lead by an unknown vampire. To make matters worse murder rates are on the rise as someone or something is murdering supernatural and humans alike. Will our beloved characters be able to keep the fragile peace or will they fall victim to the chaos? You decide. Join the fun, True Blood and Southern Vampire mysteries canons and original characters are welcome!

The time line has advanced to anytime between March 1st and June 30th 2012.

For your convenience, above is a handy and easy to read map of all the major cities and towns in the state of Louisiana. Some of these cities such as Shreveport and New Orleans are primary settings in the RP, while others have at times been referenced in both the HBO show and book series by Charlaine Harris. The map is a useful tool in knowing where these locations are relative to each other. Bon Temps is not pictured here as it is a fictional town; however, it would be somewhere between Shreveport and Monroe (close to Ruston).

We have adopted the timeline from the HBO Show True Blood to use as our timeline setting here on A Taste of True Blood. We realize that it might not be consistent with some of the dates that Charlene Harris has given in the books, but it was much easier piecing together a timeline based on the show than it would be to try and figure out one from the books. In order to pinpoint the timeline of the show, we have watched and calculated the amount of days that have passed, episode by episode. In order to figure out what year all this has taken place, we have used the only clue the writers of True Blood have given us, which is Bill Compton’s age and year of death.

In Season 1, Episode 1, Bill tells Sookie that he is 175 years old, 30 of those years being human. Also in Season 1, it was established that Bill died (at age 30) the same year the civil war ended, which was 1865. Since we know he was 30, and his gravestone confirms he was born in the 1830’s, it is safe to say his year of birth was 1835. If you add the 175 years he told Sookie his age was that makes the current year of Season 1, Episode 1 – 2010.

During the course of Season 1, 16 days pass. Then there is a 2 week jump ahead in the season finale, making to total timeline of Season 1 – 30 days. Season 2 picks up on the same night and over the course of the season, 11 days total pass. Season 3 picks up on the same night as the previous season’s finale and over the course of that season, 10 days total pass.

When Season 4 begins and Sookie returns to Bon Temps from Faery, Jason tells her that 12 and a half months have passed and the date is October 21st. We worked a year and 2 weeks backwards and have come up with the following date on where the series, and our story, originally started – August 17th, 2010.

When we started the Season/Book 4 plot the witch war, the in-character date was on or around October 21st, 2011 and ended with Marnie Stonebrooks death on Samhain that fell on October 31st 2011.

We have progressed the timeline to anytime between March 1st and June 30th 2012 to allow more flexibility for character plots and posts. If you have any questions about our timeline, please do not hesitate to ask either in the Public Relations board, or by simply PM’ing a staff member.
